After the engagement letter is signed, we begin the process on submitting the claims package by utilizing all the forms and documents in compliance with state laws and regulations drafted by the State of California. Cash Management
The release of funds and cash management by the State Controller's office is dependent on a number of factors. Some claims can be paid in as little as two or three weeks, while others can take 90 days or more. It all depends on the type of claim and how the claim package is submitted. We help ensure that the process is easy and quickly submitted in order to avoid any delays so that you can retrieve your unclaimed money as soon as possible.

When the State Controller’s Office receives the claim package, they will review it and decide whether the documentation supports the claim and the claimer. Unclaimed property involving cash may be processed in as little as two weeks. More complex claims, such as those filed by heirs, involving multiple owners, or those involving businesses can take up to 180 days to get processed.
